Not only has Usain Bolt set a new world record in 5 of his last 6 races (the sixth only set a record for the World Championships), he did it while overcoming incredible poverty and hardship.
Below is the school where he first started running. We drive past it in Jamaica on the way to our beloved FDR Pebbles resort. Take a good look at that field. There is no track. There is barely any grass. Yet that field is where Usain Bolt's incredible speed was born.
Congratulations to Usain Bolt and to the pride all Jamaicans must be feeling right now.
