My friend and former colleague at CEI, Tim Carney of the Washington Examiner, has his latest book out today. Obamanomics is an essential read. It tells how[t]he regulations, spending, bailouts, mandates, and taxes of Obama (and Bush, too) hurt small businesses, taxpayers, and consumers while enriching lobbyists and the entrenched special interests Obama claims he's battling. General Electric, Goldman Sachs, Big Labor - they're all profiting from Obama's Big Government agenda.
This is an important critique. The economic establishment of this country is rapidly becoming a vast rent-seeking conspiracy against the rest of us. And Tim is right to include the Bush administration as facilitator of this new economic order.
While you're at it, feel free to buy a copy of my husband's book, The Really Inconvenient Truths. In light of the whole Climategate scandal (also here and here), my hubby is looking darn prescient.
