Stopping Child Prostitution

The Never Ending Campaign

It looks like Obama is going to try and fight back at the tax revolt and fight for his socialist/progressive agenda by continuing his campaign "grassroots" tricks and utilizing all those "savory" folks who've helped him in the past.

I know I feel just great knowing that these rogues are invited to the White House and given instructions in how to forward Obama's objectives...

Included on the guest list were: Labor leaders Jimmy Hoffa and Andy Stern, MoveOn.org’s Eli Pariser, Sierra Club’s Carl Pope, Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richardson, and Joe Solomonese of the Human Rights Campaign.

I wouldn't let any of these people on my property, let alone in my house and Obama is using them as tools.

Obama has never run anything except for campaigns. So now we are getting an administration that doesn't know how to do anything productive, only to campaign for really rather stupid government policies. I was sick of the 2008 campaign season in 2007. Now I am sick of the 2012 campaign and it's only 2009. UGH!

Reading it Right

The New Pamphleteer's posting on the tax protests can come across as not approving.

I think that if you read it right, they are actually suggesting that we keep up the good work and "act worthy" of our forefathers by not simply protesting but taking real actions.

If I am correct in this interpretation, then I must agree with this post.

Yes, we should protest in rallies but we should also start demanding that our local politicians, our state senators and representatives, our mayors and governors, should follow Gov. Jindal's lead and refuse the stimulus money.

Ambassodorship to Britain Given to Sycophant

Another great post over at Legal Insurrection points out that Obama has trashed our special relationship with Britian by appointing a crony rather than a skilled diplomat as America's ambassodor to Great Britian.

Barack Obama has been embroiled in a cronyism row after reports that he intends to make Louis Susman, one of his biggest fundraisers, the new US ambassador in London.

The selection of Mr Susman, a lawyer and banker from the president's hometown of Chicago, rather than an experienced diplomat, raises new questions about Mr Obama's commitment to the special relationship with Britain.

American commentators denounced the selection of a rich friend to the plumb post, regarded as one of the most prestigious in the president's gift, as worthy of a "banana republic".

Personally at this point, I would be completely understand if Britain decides to have nothing more to do with Obama's administration.

Obama's actions toward the UK have been insulting and incredibly stupid.

Sad Self-Promotion

The Chicago Sun-Times is running a self-congratulatory "article" about how great they are at sniffing out Chicago's corruption. They posit that all cities have corruption but that as they are "so good" at it, it means that newspapers still matter.

Really?

Because New York City has a whole bunch of newspapers, Washington DC too, and yet, yet, they don't seem to find nearly as much corruption as Chicago papers do.

Is the Chicago Sun-Times calling all other journalists lazy? Quite possibly and quite possibly they'd be right. I am much more inclined to believe that newspapers have gotten incredibly lazy and cheap with investigative journalism and only because there is so much low-hanging corruption fruit in Chicago has the Sun-Times been able to make their claims.

Raising taxes to stimulate...

After his radio address, an official made a "leaked" announcement that Obama plans to half the deficit by the end of his "first" term.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the president has not yet released his budget for the fiscal year 2010, which begins Oct. 1, said the deficit will be shrunk by scaling back Iraq war spending, ending the temporary tax breaks enacted by the Bush administration for those making $250,000 or more a year, and streamlining government.

So in the middle of a recession and after cramming one of the largest spending bills in American history down taxpayer's throats, Mr. Genius is going to raise taxes on the individual who already pay the most in taxes.

Historically this has always and consistently been a VERY BAD idea but Obama believes his hype and this time it'll be different. Hope and Change, you know.

What was that classic definition of madness? Make the same mistakes over and over again but always expecting a different result? Seems to apply to every democrat and liberal idea ever. At least, conservatives learn from history, rather than repeat it.

I mean this is rich, count Obama's lies in the quote below (and by lies I mean promises he makes that he will not and can not keep).

"We can't generate sustained growth without getting our deficits under control," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address that seemed to preview his intentions. He said his budget will be "sober in its assessments, honest in its accounting, and lays out in detail my strategy for investing in what we need, cutting what we don't, and restoring fiscal discipline."

Honestly, this is clearly an attempt to nip the nascent tax revolt going on in the bud.

After all the promises Obama has broken and after forcing the so-called stimulus bill with all its ghastliness upon us, he actually expects us to believe him that he will have a "sober" and "honest accounting".

After that zombie circus of a stimulus bill stuffed with useless pork that Obama allowed Reid and Pelosi to create and that only democrats and three assholes voted for, that after all that, he expects us to believe that he can restore "fiscal discipline"?

Yeah right.

I believe that Obama has drunk his own kool-aid. In fact, I believe Obama has installed an Obama-Kool-Aid fountain in the Oval Office if he thinks we can now believe a single word he says.

To the Tea Party my friends. To the barricades. Unless you like being taxed into oblivion by a two-faced fool. Fight. Fight. Fight.

Name and Shame Bill Moyers as a Hypocrit

Another Name and Shame via GayPatriot in his post on Bill Moyers titled "Bill Moyers: The Power of Outing".

Apparently, Mr. Liberal TV Guy used to work as an aide to LBJ (democrat) and was tasked with using the FBI to see if any of Goldwater's (republican) staff were gay.

Wow! Another example of how being a liberal is all about kindness and inclusiveness.

I particularly like GayPatriot's comparison to Nixon and how he got in trouble for using the FBI to dig up dirt on people.

How does it feel Moyers (and Democrat LBJ) to be just as "good" as Nixon.

Moyers is an ass and should be ashamed of himself.

GayPatriot ends with this observation:

Interesting how a story about a liberal pundit’s investigations into the sexuality of coworkers and political rivals primarily draws the attention of conservative bloggers. And gay bloggers seem more interested in the story than do the organizations ostensibly representing our peers.

The more we learn about Bill Moyers, the more we see how much his political affiliation defined his life. He would do anything to destroy a rival politician, even root around to see if that man had gay staffers, seeking to use those staffers’ sexuality against their Republican employer.

Gitmo is Good

Looks like that Obama magic has sprinkled its pixie dust over Gitmo and taken it from BusHitler Bad to It-Must-Be-Good-Because-Obama-Said-So.

For the record, I never had a single second's doubt that Gitmo was the best solution for a bad situation. This Pentagon report Obama requested stating that Gitmo meets Geneva Conventions will not satify the Left at all, while giving the Right "I-told-you-do" and quiet snickering priveledges.

Again, it's all about that Hope and Change, isn't it?

I don't care how it works out but I'd rather have those two be our leaders than the jokers we've got now.

Especially now that Jindal has official announced that he will refuse money from the so-called stimulus bill. Gotta love that, a republican governor with a spine!

Was It Something He Said?

Europe's last serving Thatcherite, Czech president Vaclav Klaus, made a speech to the EU's sham parliament on Thursday. It was a fine speech, in fact, so fine that it enraged the thugs, scolds, crooks, and placemen who make up so much of the world's least impressive deliberative body.

Daniel Hannan MEP reported what happened (or, even more pointedly, what didn't happen) here:

When anti-federalist MEPs held up placards calling for a referendum during a plenary session of the European Parliament, the big parties reacted with excruciating pomposity and hyperbole. Martin Shulz, the Socialist leader, said that our behaviour made him think of Adolf Hitler. Graham Watson, the Liberal leader, said that it "recalled the behaviour of the Communists in the Russian Diet [sic] and the National Socialists in the German Reichstag ". Several MEPs were issued with fines, on grounds that they had disgraced the assembly in the presence of a national leader (the Portuguese Prime Minister, José Socrates).

So, what action was taken against those Euro-integrationist MEPs who jeered, heckled and interrupted Václav Klaus yesterday? Their offence, surely, was the greater, Mr Klaus being a head of state. In insulting him, they insulted the Czech population. Have they been likened to Nazis? Will they be disciplined or fined?

I think we can all guess the answer...

The full text of Klaus's subtle and challenging speech (in which he shows himself by no means opposed to some forms of European integration) can be found here, but this, in particular, is well worth noting:

The present decision making system of the European Union is different from a classic parliamentary democracy, tested and proven by history. In a normal parliamentary system, part of the MPs support the government and part support the opposition. In the European parliament, this arrangement has been missing. Here, only one single alternative is being promoted and those who dare thinking about a different option are labelled as enemies of the European integration. Not so long ago, in our part of Europe we lived in a political system that permitted no alternatives and therefore also no parliamentary opposition. It was through this experience that we learned the bitter lesson that with no opposition, there is no freedom. That is why political alternatives must exist.

And not only that. The relationship between a citizen of one or another member state and a representative of the Union is not a standard relationship between a voter and a politician, representing him or her. There is also a great distance (not only in a geographical sense) between citizens and Union representatives, which is much greater than it is the case inside the member countries. This distance is often described as the democratic deficit, the loss of democratic accountability, the decision making of the unelected – but selected – ones, as bureaucratisation of decision making etc. The proposals to change the current state of affairs – included in the rejected European Constitution or in the not much different Lisbon Treaty – would make this defect even worse.

Since there is no European demos – and no European nation – this defect cannot be solved by strengthening the role of the European parliament either.

No wonder those clowns were angry.

The TSA is running a test program of their full-body scanners in Tulsa.

Reactions are mostly postive but some have problems with the whole looking-under-your-clothes thing.

Honeymoon Downgraded

Obama's "honeymoon" has been downgraded to "smashing plates".

There was a honeymoon?!?

Dow Jones since Obama's inauguration. Ouch!

For a Harvard graduate, Obama isn't getting good grades (not that we know what his Harvard grades were). Wall Street Weekly Financial Columnist Liz Peek states that Wall Street is giving Obama an F for his mis-handling of the economy.

And you know Liz Peek is probably right when investors are running to that ages-old standby, Gold, for cover. Gold tops $1,000 an ounce. Ouch Again!

All this financial mishandling shouldn't be unexpected from a man who doesn't pay his bills - Obama still owes Chicago $1.7 million for his little victory bash. It's always so inspiring when your leader breaks every promise and obligation he has.

Of course, Obama isn't the only jerkweed politician breaking promises and living high on the hog. Apparently the fundraising for 2010 (really?!?) has begun for some lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and throwing lavish parties to raise money while the country is suffering doesn't really make me want to vote for you. Throw each and every one of the scumbags out!

Where are these idiot's heads or have I just answered my own question?
