Interestingly, the majority of these states are out West and I suspect have much lower tax rates. It also seems that a strong diversity of industries combined with lower taxes is much better for the economy than college educated workers. Quite frankly, there are Fedex delivery truck drivers that earn as much as my Oxford-educated husband.
