No Real Class Resentment In America

Because of the unprecedented number of opportunities for people of all economic classes in America, we don't really resent the rich.

At least that's what this AEI publication says and it seems about right.

American's do not resent the rich unless they fail to play by the rules. Then we get pretty angry. But because we believe we can and do improve our status with every generation, Americans are far more comfortable with wealth than other countries.

Which is hopefully why socialism will never take deep root here.
