The president offered nothing new in today’s presser. He offered the same son-of-stimulus plan that has already failed. He blamed the eurozone for the moribund U.S. economy, despite the fact that his own policies — ObamaCare, his desire to end the Bush tax cuts, and his unbridled regulatory state — are killing American jobs. He called for government “investments,” despite his record of failed investments in green initiatives like Solyndra. He claimed that the US economy has created 800,000 jobs this year and that “the private sector is doing just fine.” He said that public sector jobs are where the layoffs and pain are occurring, but if he believes that then he would do well to look to the reforms championed and passed by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. His reforms have saved public sector jobs and lowered local property taxes at the same time, both of which will spur economic growth. President Obama strongly opposed those reforms, and tepidly supported the failed recall attempt on Gov. Walker.

"So those people who would be affected by that, many, many of them have had no income increases in a decade while their costs have gone up. So you really would have a contractionary economic impact. Various bloggers and others have pointed out that Kimberlin runs a variety of left-wing organizations getting money from the deep pockets of the left. As the web of connections has increased, so has the harassment of conservative bloggers.

When I started watching The Daily Show, it had TWO hosts. Yes, I've watched from the very first season.
This is why I have NOT watched it in years.

As you recall, there was much rejoicing in the media when companies dropped their ads from his program. One hardly imagines Stewart's loss of Delta getting much attention from his fans in the press.

I can cook, but I can't clean
My idea to "deep clean" my filthy carpets has backfired. My decision to put half water- half bleach into the carpet steamer has left me with watering eyes, all the windows open and appears to have only made the carpet stains angry. This is why I must have a cleaning lady. Somethings are best left to the professionals.

That was their shining city on a hill — a place where a bunch of rowdy teenage boys found it impossible to spend a dime each. And every other communist city in the world was even worse off. Typically, much worse. Now go look through Koppelkamm’s entire photo essay with that in mind. Remember, too, just how quickly capitalism was able to repair decades of communist mismanagement. These photos weren’t taken decades apart. Some of them show the difference less than ten years could make. Just ten years to lift 17 million people out of 40 years of grinding poverty. One last thing. We’re hurting. We’ve been hurting.
