Abuse of Power?

The quote below comes from this Politico.com article here about Obama's prime time speech on Obamacare to Congress. I bet you he'll be talking past Congress to the viewers.
The last time a president addressed a joint session of Congress that wasn’t a State of the Union, or the traditional first address by a new president, was Sept. 20, 2001, when President George W. Bush spoke on the war on terrorism following the 9/11 attacks.
Obama seems to believe the nation's airwaves exist to serve him by asking for a joint session of Congress so he can make a televised speech on Obamacare.

I know, bully pulpit and all that but seriously, how many times has Obama commandeered decent Americans' time by insisting on the megaphone of televised speeches? That's an hour of their lives they'll never get back. Save yourself, change the channel!

Judging by the drop in his poll numbers, it just appears as if the more Obama speaks, the less Americans he persuades.
