So this morning I decided to listen to my husband give a radio interview via the phone. Needless to say, I was so impressed with him. And more than a little frightened.

He explained why we should be worried about our trillions in debt with this - "the difference between a billion and a trillion is huge and we should be very worried when our government starts talking about needing trillions of dollars. Let's put it this way; a billion seconds is 32 years, a trillion seconds is 32,000 years."

Frickin' frackin' YIKES.

Hanoi Jane Can Stuff It

Jane Fonda jabs at QVC over canceled TV appearance

In a blog posting on showbusiness website TheWrap.com, Fonda wrote that she was scheduled to appear on QVC on Saturday to introduce her book "Prime Time" about aging and life cycles.

But the network, Fonda wrote, reported receiving a flood of angry calls regarding her anti-war activism of the 1960s and 1970s, and it decided to cancel Fonda's appearance.

Four decades ago, the American actress angered Vietnam War supporters who gave her the nickname "Hanoi Jane" for her 1972 visit to the capital of North Vietnam at the height of the conflict. At the time, she posed for photos showing her sitting atop a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun, and she remains an object of derision by some U.S. veterans and others.

Fonda, 73, has in the past expressed regret about those images, and in her post at The Wrap she took aim at QVC and her critics.

"I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups," Fonda wrote.

QVC acknowledged Fonda's appearance was canceled, but said it was because of a "programing change

Jane Fonda is a big fat crybaby and liberal hypocrite. She's complaining because consumers have exercised their First Amendment right to complain about her appearance on QVC (allegedly) and claim that it was "well funded and organized political extremist groups". Ironic to say the least since so many leftwing organizations are far better funded thanks to the vile Soros and his ilk.

And even more hypocritical, Fonda wrapped her own behavior during the Vietnam War in the First Amendment but now that others are rejecting her, it's bad? Grow up you old baby-booming hag. Actions, like elections, have consequences and while you are a private citizen and not a politician, consumers can still vote with their money, their feet, and their voices.

What you did was wrong 40 years ago and we still don't like it. Venture out of your little liberal bubble and realize that most of America is ashamed of you.

Blogging Hiatus

Ummm, just saw the last Harry Potter movie this morning. Am pretty emotional right now, between Snape and the Epilogue - good golly.

Not as roughed up by the film though as I was by Toy Story 3 (that one rocked my world), I am bittersweet about this last-but-fantastic film.

I came late to the whole Harry Potter thing, only purchasing and reading the first 6 books about two weeks before the last seventh one came out. I read the first three books in less than 24 hours and the next three at the rate of one a day.

Now the last movie and I am bummed this amazing all-you-can-read buffet is over.
